5 Restaurants To Soak Up the NYC Sun

Good news New Yorkers: it looks like we’ve made it over the hump of this brutally long and hard winter. People are emerging from their apartments, parks are filling up again, and outdoor dining has come back to life (or at least on the non-rainy days.) Cafe-style dining gives New York so much charm and appeal, especially when the sun is out and about.

So get your sunnies ready and head to these charming outdoor dining spots.

La Birreria ⎮ Flatiron District

Located on the roof of Eataly, this fantastic beer garden offers high quality beer and food under the sky and stars of the New York skyline. Try the pork shoulder– trust us, you will not be disappointed.

Maison Premiere ⎮ Williamsburg

“Inspired by hotel lobbies of days gone by, afternoons in Paris cafes, late night dinners brooding over bivalves and wading through glasses of pastis and absinthe.” Plus an incredible outdoor patio, with lush green vines above your head and pebbles below your feet. Yes, this place does exist– NYC dreams do come true.

Gran Eléctrica ⎮ DUMBO

Located in the heart of DUMBO, Gran Eléctrica serves up authentic, upscale Mexican grub. With awesome outdoor seating and tasty margaritas, Gran Eléctrica is one to add to your list of Brooklyn must-gos.

La Lanterna Di Vittorio  ⎮ Greenwich Village

I can go on forever about La Lanterna and its exquisite charm. One of the first places that I discovered after moving to the city, it is still one of my favorite spots. Sandwiches, pizza and dessert to die for; La Lanterna’s outdoor patio transports you out of the city and into charmsville.

MORANDI  ⎮ West Village

Serving authentic Italian food, Morandi is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of vino and watch the hustle of the city go by. With the doors open wide, the entire restaurant has a bustling outdoor energy. Personal recommendation: the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese is perfection.
