Fall Haircuts That Are a Cut Above The Rest

Although we are not completely over our break-up with summer, we decided to embrace the change of the seasons by switching things up. While the sun might be setting earlier than we’d like and the leaves are slowly dying, that doesn’t mean your hair needs to be on its way out, too. Here at TTS, we say fuck it and encourage you to give your ‘do some new life this fall. 2015 has been a wonderful year for hair and with only a few months left in this calendar year, we challenge you to take the plunge by trying something different. Below are our 6 favorite haircuts to freshen any look this fall season. Whether you are thinking of going short or keeping it long, we have the ‘do for you.

While the pixie cut is not meant for everyone, we believe this style has the right amount of edge for the daring type of girl. The mid-pixie, or “mixie” is the perfect hairstyle for someone who is looking to add a little extra something to a minimal haircut. With a lot more texture and a bit more length, we are sure this haircut comes with a side order of side-eyes and straight-up sass. We are in love.

If you have been rocking the bob for the past year and want to go even shorter, then give this haircut a shot this fall. Hitting just against the jawline and right underneath the ears, this look is perfect for wispy-thin-to-medium-hair types. While this haircut is one you will have to maintain more than others, it’s so worth it. Complete the cut by styling it with a deep side-part for a more dramatic effect.

This mid-length cut is a must for fall. Some are calling it the new “Rachel” and we can see why everyone is sporting this ‘do. It’s the perfect “in-between” length. This blunt cut falls right below the collarbone and is full of light waves that create this uncontrollable volume that we can’t get enough of. The higher the hair, the closer to God, right? Can we get an amen?!

We are happy to say that the bob is here to stay and if you’ve been contemplating about finally making the cut, we say go for it. This style looks good on pretty much anybody and everybody no matter what your face shape is. Get a blunt cut or a few choppy layers for a messy look like how Sarah Hyland did. This cut is pretty versatile so get crazy with it!

Long, light layers are the perfect way to revamp your long locks. Take it from Gigi Hadid who has these beautiful textured layers. Even though the bob was in the spotlight for sometime now, why not keep your long hair for the winter months and just give the ends some major brownie points. This look is perfect for those low-maintenance girls out there. Tousle your mane with a hint of moose or a slight spritz of textured spray to give your flowy hair some edge.

If you are in love with your length, but still want a slight change to your ‘do, then we recommend getting yo’ self some bangs, girl. Ciara introduced her new hair at the Givenchy show and we couldn’t dig it any more. But Ciara wasn’t the only one that jumped on the bangs train. The Duchess of Cambridge and Sandra Bullock did, too (which obviously means you have to now.) Bangs are a perfect way to change your look without the full commitment. With a slight snip, you are able to transform your whole look and give yourself the ultimate face lift.
