Fashion Week Happenings We’re ALL Invited to

New York’s most fashionable week has managed to maintain a facade of effortless stress propped up in beautiful 4-inch stiletto heels. For it’s not just about the art that is shaped from the pencil sketches of the runway looks, or the trends that have been forecast by elite editors and writers; but the music of the concrete jungle seems to roar louder when hundreds of photographers are competing for the perfect image, fashion mavens are racing to their next runway show and emails are scoring the height of our city’s skyline (deep breaths.) While it’s completely fine to be glued to computer screens viewing the shows online, and obsessively scrolling through Instagram, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be deeply involved in the mist of all the beautiful fashion chaos.

During NYFW, there are so many events that we are positive Google Calendar is officially calling it quits. And, although, most of them are for insiders (psh, lame), here at TTS, we don’t discriminate. We’ve gathered the best fashion events that everyone (including your mom) is invited to. So, grab a friend, fill up your planner and party your effin’ pants off.

If there is one place you HAVE to visit during NYFW, it is Refinery29’s 29Rooms. This completely interactive funhouse extravaganza is going to knock the retinas out of your eyes. Refinery29 is known to be highly visually stimulating with their original photography and graphics on their digital lifestyle site — and we expect nothing less for their 50,000-square-foot Brooklyn warehouse party. As you can guess, there are 29 individual rooms filled with art installations, virtual reality experiences and music that are all supposed to celebrated the company’s 10th anniversary. Refinery29 has hand-picked artists and brands, who we already love, to participate by curating their own individual rooms that you know are just going to be mind-blowing. If you think this party is going to cost you, think again. It’s completely free! You heard us. And Lyft is going to provide discounted rides to the event. Just use the code REFINERY29. So there is really no excuse for you not to go.

Location: 15 Huron Street, Greenpoint, Brooklyn

When: September 11 and 12, from 12 to 8 p.m. EDT

While we are already in love with the super-talented Garance Doré for her photography and illustrations, we are now going to love her even more during this Fashion Week. Doré will be hosting a three day pop-up event in partnership with Cointreau. During the day, the pop-up will function as a café that will have selected goods and Garance Doré designed products. And at night, the fashion author will host “talks” with fashion influencers, like Phillip Lim and Paul Andrew. Experience the Art of La Soirée by RSVPing here and getting your drink on (hurry, today’s the last day!)

Location: Union Bar & Kitchen | 300 Spring Street, NY, NY 10013

When: September 9 12pm – 7pm; September 10  12pm – 7pm, 8pm – 9:30pm; September 11 12pm – 7pm, 8pm – 9:30pm

Even with all the hustle and bustle that Fashion Week entails, you also deserve some downtime to help rejuvenate you during those happy hours. Take a step into Freds Madison Avenue restaurant at Barneys to grab the Fashion Week Fizz. This girly concoction was created by EyeSwoon founder, Athena Calderone, who happened to also invite Kate Foley and Jennifer Fisher to try the finished product. This orange cocktail represents New York City and all the flash, passion and nonstop 24-hour flare that our city has to offer. Whether you go after a show, or just want to grab a quick drink with the girls/boys, this cocktail will revitalize you in the best way possible. It’s made with carrot and orange juice, vodka, Aperol and plenty of other ingredients that you are just going to have to check out yourself. Stop by Barneys to get a sip of this fashion-driven drink before it’s too late!

You don’t need to go far when your iPhone is giving you that straight-up sass when it’s about to die. Head to LDV Lounge to recharge not only your phone, but your mind as well. This place has everything you could ever want in a rest stop: wifi, charging stations, food, complimentary cocktails from Deep Eddy Vodka and all the Corso Coffee you can bump through your veins. If you need a quick touch-up in between shows today, let the Glam Squad beautify you while you sip on a glass of White Girl Rosé. Sorry NYFW, but it seems like this place is going to be our new hot spot (pun always intended.)

Hopeless romantics and NYFW goers need to head to the Meatpacking District where Chanel will be hosting a pop-up that is showcasing their new BOY.FRIEND watches collection. This feminine/masculine collection is the heart of the shop where you can immerse yourself in a “virtual diary” of a girl who is in love with her new watch, because, well, it’s better than her boyfriend: It’s always on her, goes everywhere with her, and causes zero drama. Boys, we think it’s time to step it up. The 1,750-square-foot space also houses an in-store photo booth so you can take a pictures with your new boyfriend watch. Head on over to be a part of the love story and while you’re at it, grab yourself a watch, too.

Location: 446 West 14th Street

When: September 11-13, 11 am – 8 pm
