Happy Hours That Last Way Longer Than 5PM

Photo cred: Vanessa Granda

After a long, often strenuous day at work (and especially after last night’s election), we all could use a drink (or three). In a city where most happy hours end at the exact minute that which you leave the office, it can get a bit tricky to get yourself what you deserve. Never fear, we’ve found places that throw away all standards of happy hours ending at 7pm. Who cares if it’s Wednesday, call yourself an Uber and roll up to these bars that’ll have you sipping without spending the extra dollars. We know you need it.

One of the last original Manhattan bars, 169 Bar (formerly known as The Bloody Bucket) has been around since 1916 and is still offering one of the best happy hours the city has seen. With $3 cans of beer/well shots, $1 off of canned beers and drafts, and $2 off of everything else lasting from 12pm to 7:30pm, this isn’t a spot that’ll have your back tonight (and forever).

Donna is another incredible Brookyln find that you need to get to ASAP. Monday through Friday until 8pm with $4 draft beers and $8 draft and frozen cocktails. Happy hour is extended to 11pm on none other than Taco Tuesday. Craving tacos on a day that isn’t Tuesday? You can still add an order of tacos to your drink for $5.

Especially after this election, we’re all going to need a drink and that’s exactly where The Garret comes in. Both locations are offering specials that will help take the edge off of the heavy feeling we’re all experiencing inside today.
