As you already know, the TTS crew are firm believers in celebrating the everyday things. Whether it’s National Donut Day or National Pizza Day (yum!), we’re usually the first in line to commemorate. So when we heard that one of our favorite cocktails not only has its own national day, but a whole damn week, our livers instantly cried with mercy. #sorrynotsorry.
Negroni Week celebrates one of the coolest cocktails in an effort to raise money for charitable causes. From June 6-12, Imbibe Magazine and Campari have partnered up so you can enjoy Negroni-inspired recipes from over 6,000 bars, restaurants and retailers all across the world. While the classic gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari concoction is nearly a perfect drink, bartenders and restaurateurs alike are redesigning the recipe to create their own Negroni magic. From Sprinkles’ Orange Blossom Negroni ice cream to ABC Kitchen’s Root Beer Negroni, the possibilities are seriously endless (and totally worth the hangover). But if drinking for charity doesn’t convince you to celebrate, Lyft is giving five free rides during this kick-ass event, so now you have no excuse.
Being the overachievers that we are, we partnered with head bartender, Luis Hernandez, from The Eddy, (who created not one, but three Negroni-inspired cocktails) and Campari to combine fashion and cocktails in one tasteful shoot. So drink to give this weekend, because whether you’re going to remember this week or not, at least you know your money is going to a good cause.
