Color forecasting plays a major role in what we see on the runway and what we buy. While Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year, Serenity and Rose Quartz, were spot on (Glossier pink, anyone?), this year’s color had us initially scratching our heads. ‘Greenery’ doesn’t exactly appear subtle, sexy or cute, but hear us out: It’s the power color all of us Boss Babes need. The color “is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the inherent unity of the natural world,” Pantone’s introduction reads. They add that the shade is “life affirming” and “emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.”
With all that in mind, we’re looking for ways to embrace Greenery this year. We scoured the internet high and low to bring you the best things to shop in the color right now. Prepare for 2017 with our favorite Color of the Year-inspired picks, below.
