The Single Girl’s Guide To Slaying V-Day

Featured image by Alex Gonzales/WLRN

Here at TTS, some of us are hitched, others are in happy relationships, and some of us will be alone this V-Day. (We don’t discriminate!) While many would agree that the pink-and-red everything is more enjoyable with a special someone, being single on Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you have to mope around (or that you should). In fact, it can be an excuse to go all out on the self love. Whether you’ve got a galentine or are flying completely solo, these fun events are single-lady approved ways to SLAY this Valentine’s Day.

Dumbo’s IMAXShift will be hosting a 45-min Drake & Rihanna Break-Up Ride on the 13th, complete with mash-ups and music videos on the IMAX screen. The sweat-powered class will help you work on your revenge bod (and just maybe get Rihanna’s abs).

Plant lady is the new cat lady. Shop The Sill’s V-Day collection to spruce up your single lady abode this Feb 14th (because the love fern situation wasn’t really a good idea in the first place).

In NYC on the 9th? Stop by The Sill for a Galentine-themed pop-in with Lively.

The Wing, our favorite ladies-only co-working space, is hosting a poetry night with Lenny Letter, on Monday, 2/13. The night promises good vibes and girl power this Galentine’s Day.

Urban Outfitters is teaming up with Space Ninety 8 and Prynt, an iPhone-ready printing device, for #UOLOVESTORIES workshop. Starting at 1PM on 2/1, you’ll be able to create a fun video valentine and bring it to life.

Who said being single means you can’t feel sexy on V-Day? 305 Fitness is hosting three feel-good “F*ck Love: Me, Myself, and I” classes with DJ, drinks, tarot readings, acupuncture, and more. Grab your girls and bring the heat at their West Village location. (And if you’re cuffed, check out their couples’ “Yoga 4 Better Sex ;).
