Spring Beauty Trends That You Can Actually Pull Off

With every spring season, there comes an opportunity for us to reinvent ourselves. Spring cleaning isn’t just for raiding your closet and refrigerator, you can also give your beauty routine a little pick-me-up. And because the beauty looks from this past NYFW actually inspired us and made us wish for warmer weather. We’ve rounded up four of the most show-stopping looks that you can easily do right from your bedroom (or from the inside of a moving car. NBD), fit for the warmer weather that is hopefully ahead.

Keep things really simple this spring by going for clean skin and a bright lip. A guaranteed way to make sure you kind of get out the door on time. Try a matte formula in whatever color floats your boat. Either go for it and apply the product straight from the bullet, or go for a more subtle look by applying with your finger for a wash of color. Make sure to apply a coat or two of mascara to make those eyes pop.

Monochromatic looks aren’t just for fashion anymore. This is a look you can have a lot of fun with. Put a pink shade on your lips, eyes (yes, put pink on your eyes), and cheeks to create a seamless look. Experiment with different hues of pink and see which one suits your skin tone the best. You can use either powder or cream formulas. Products that are multi-purpose will be your best friend for this type of look and are easiest for those of you who are constantly on the go. Cream formulas are easiest to work with, but if you decide to work with a powder formula, just mix that powder with a clear gloss for the lips.

A roundup of wearable spring beauty styles probably shouldn’t include any glitter. But, here we are — it’s 2017 after all. Glitter can actually be made minimal, just keep reading. To pull this style off, you need to choose how you’re going to use the glitter and stick to it. Whether you’re going to apply a glitter eyeliner, a glitter highlight for the face, glitter eyeshadow, or glitter on the lips, make that area the focal point of your look. Keep the rest of your makeup subtle and minimal to let the glitter speak for itself. The result is a minimal look with a little something extra. Plus, when the sun finally comes out, you’ll be shining, literally.

Turn your routine upside down to really shake up your spring season. Dark colors and smoky looks are generally used for nighttime outings. But, it’s actually OK to wear a look you would normally wear out to get drinks to brunch on Saturday morning. Like I said, it’s 2017. There are no rules when it comes to beauty anymore. Rock a smoky eye or a thick winged liner during the day to take your look up a notch, granted you have the time. Even just wearing a darker shade of lipstick than you normally would can change your look drastically.
