Bourgeois. Bohème. Beaux-Arts. While we very well could be describing ourselves in three words, we’re actually referring to the jewel of East 32nd Street: HGU New York. Since 1905, this striking façade has greeted countless staycationers, and tonight, THE STAYCATIONERS honor this souvenir of old New York with timeless glam vibes and an inappropriate amount of wine. Dress code: pajamas. Shall we?
THE SPOT: HGU New York | 34 East 32 Street, New York
THE STATS: 90 rooms, tons of art, lobby bar, library-esque lounge, farm-to-table restaurant, dreamy bedding, super photogenic bathrooms
PERFECT FOR: A wine-fueled luxe loungewear party with the girls (cheese plate required)
A long, hard day’s work calls for a massive charcuterie and cheese board, and said charcuterie and cheese boards not going to eat itself. THE STAYCATIONERS called up pajama-clad vixen Cat Corcoran and co. (hi, Kelsey Panicco and Jordyn Kraemer) to polish things up in between sips of Ruffino wine, and sleepover madness ensued.
The only proper way to store your excess bubbly is by putting the bathroom sink to use and waiting for the ice to do its job whilst making bubbles of one’s own. Obviously.
With no room for dinner and just enough for a nightcap, THE STAYCATIONERS headed down to the hotel’s library lounge for a coupe fest fit for a queen. You can’t sit with us.
After a long, exhausting day of wining, dining, and smizing their way to slumber party dreamland, THE STAYCATIONERS tucked into their Frette linens for the night and never looked back. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got sheep and thread to count.
Special thanks to our ever-radiant guest staycationers Cat Corcoran, Kelsey Panicco, and Jordyn Kraemer; #31DaysinPJs looks made possible by Komar.
