As you probably already know, we are pretty big fans of combining food and fashion together. We believe that when these two worlds collide, so much magic happens that somewhere in a far away land, a unicorn is born and is covered in haute couture fashion pieces while snacking on the most delicious tacos your heart could ever imagine. Even though our imagination is a little bit on the wild side, we thought there would be no better way than to combine our two loves by creating a magical night filled with delicious food, fashion, and all the booze we could handle. Seriously, all the booze.
Here at Taste The Style, we have decided to produce a new event series where we celebrate fashion and food by bringing some of the most influential people together all under one roof. Our mission is to bring back the dining experience by dressing up for a night out and indulging with a full course menu that involves delicious food and drinks to complement. For our first soiree, we partnered with Made Real, a vodka brand inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs. They brought the booze while Nicole Miller, NYC-based fashion designer extraordinaire, brought the glam by dressing up each of our guest in head-to-toe Nicole Miller gear. The event took place at The Beatrice Inn where it was decked with garlands and wheat by FloraBrook. Chef Angie Mar created a four course tasting menu which was pair perfectly with Made Real cocktails. The guests got to indulge in some of the pairings that consisted of items like The “Be Real”, housemade Grenadine, lemon, simple syrup, St. Germaine, and Chartreuse Foam with lime zest, paired with Oysters with tarragon mignonette. And “Taste The Soiree”, Made Real Vodka, housemade grapefruit cordial, lime juice, and simple syrup, topped with prosecco, paired with pan roasted chicken with sickle pears, fois gras and sauternes. Are you drooling yet?
One of our co-hosts for the evening was the lovely DJ/Entrepreneur May Kwok who invited a few of her friends (okay, 10) to the fiesta. In addition, we also invited an aspiring designer, Janine Rhodes, who was treated to the event through a social media contest. If you are a bit curious as to how the event went, well lucky for you, we have the goods to show you how rad the night went.
Take a peek below to see how the event unfolded. Don’t forget to make a cocktail while you are at it.
The night was filled with so much food and cocktails, it was hard to keep up!
Of course the appetizers consisted of drinks made with Made Real Vodka. We can cheers to that!
Ladies got a deck of cards where we asked important questions like “If you were a drink, what would you be?” See, very important questions.
Let’s just say, things got a little crazy.
