As a community of women, we’re determined more than ever to help build each other up, to fight for what we believe in, and to conquer the impossible. It’s our job to find our voice and encourage others to not give up and face vulnerability straight on. And as women, it’s our obligation to create a life that we’re proud of and to shower each other with love while cleansing the negativity and shaming away. If there’s one group of women that help exemplify this way of thinking to a T it’s today’s set of Boss Babes.

For the second and final installment of True & Co Boss Babes, we met up with three inspiring women who have proven time and time again that pushing yourself to the limit is worth it to create the life you aspire to have. Just listen to all three of their stories for a #girlpower-filled read you won’t forget.

In three words, describe what you love most about yourself:

Really fucking honest (excuse my language).

A woman you’re currently idolizing, other than your badass self:

[It’s] hard to choose just one since I’m currently obsessing over all my girlfriends. Those gorgeous queens.

What does “body positive” mean to you?

Being comfortable in your own skin, I know that sounds so cliché but really just accepting your flaws and loving what makes you unique.

How do you choose to celebrate your womanhood every day?

By being my loud, opinionated, unapologetic self.

True & Co’s mission is to empower women to be the best version of themselves through their products. When do you feel the most empowered and what do you do to help fuel your self-confidence? (i.e. self-care practices, wear specific clothes, etc.)

I take very good care of my skin, I have a daytime and nighttime routine that I try to do in front of the mirror once I get out of the shower. I take the time and apply each product carefully, the routine keeps me sane and gives me some “me time.” Doesn’t hurt to slip into something sexy afterwards. 🙂

As a Boss Babe, you probably have a lot of cool things going on. Tell us about your current projects!

I’m currently working on expanding my brand and putting more focus on lifestyle, health and beauty projects oppose to just my personal life. I’ve been researching skincare lately and working towards having my own skincare line in the future. But in the meantime check out my site for life updates KirsyLovett.com

What drives you to kick ass every day?

Pushing myself to be my best self. We all have our weak days but brushing yourself off and overcoming tough situations really motivates me to keep going and realizing I can get through ANYTHING.

What advice would you give your younger self to help feel comfortable in her own skin?

Worry about yourself first and protect your peace. Live in the moment and don’t worry too much about the future, everything will work itself out.

Being the Co-founder and Creative Director of Rise City Swim is an incredible feat in itself. But even though titles might mean everything for some, Agee Taylor is all about shattering that glass ceiling one step further by creating a life that she’s proud of. And with her fierce ability to adapt and conquer  the fashion world one design at a time, we believe she’s the ultimate woman on the rise and we can’t wait to see what’s next for her and her brand.

A woman you’re currently idolizing, other than your badass self:

Josephine Vander Gucht, the female partner in the London0-based duo, Oh Wonder.

What does “body positive” mean to you?

To me, body positivity means maintaining a supportive attitude toward ones own body and to those around us. It’s not just about positive self image achieved through health and fitness, but also about affirming bodies of all shapes and sizes. Self love and acceptance can be contagious.

How do you choose to celebrate your womanhood every day?

I celebrate my womanhood by recognizing my control and strength. I can take on new roles as a woman, and I have the ability to say no. With the constant oppression of women in today’s world, it’s easy to only want to prove your assertiveness, independence, and brainpower. Yet, I think it is so incredibly important to embrace your femininity, vulnerability, and sensuality as a woman.

True & Co’s mission is to empower women to be the best version of themselves through their products. When do you feel the most empowered and what do you do to help fuel your self-confidence? (i.e. self-care practices, wear specific clothes, etc.)

My empowerment comes from knowing myself and knowing what I want. I also think it’s incredibly rewarding to have the ability to empower others. I fuel my confidence through boxing, running, and spinning. I always feel best after a hard workout, but it’s empowering to know you’re doing it for yourself and not to meet anyone else’s standards.

As a Boss Babe, you probably have a lot of cool things going on. Tell us about your current projects!

So many exciting things!! Currently designing a Resort 2017 collection for my line, Rise City Swim. We are also currently re-vamping our Women On The Rise platform, which so much of the brand is built upon. I’m also a cast member of a digital documentary series/ potential television show called Rise City that is under development. It features up and coming entrepreneurs and their lifestyle behind their respective brands.

What drives you to kick ass every day?

The need to be able to pay my rent! Haha, all jokes aside I can’t stand not being busy. Having a developing career for a major women’s contemporary brand as well as my own line and ongoing projects drive me to hustle each and every day.

What advice would you give your younger self to help feel comfortable in her own skin?

“We get so worried about being pretty. Let’s be pretty kind. Pretty funny. Pretty smart. Pretty strong.”

In three words, describe what you love most about yourself:

I love that I am:

Focused, Creative, Independent.

A woman you’re currently idolizing, other than your badass self:

Pretty much every girl who is in my life is doing extraordinary things, and it is so inspiring to watch. From girls who are badass executives at large companies to those who are hustling with 20 side-gigs, every girl who I surround myself with is accomplishing great things and focusing on her dreams. A lot of these girls I’ve met through Instagram. Maybe I’m unique to be surrounded by such career-driven, innovative females, but I truly idolize every woman who I personally know.

Some specific girls — Lauren Singer aka @trashisfortossers. She hasn’t produced waste in 3 years or so

and started her own no-waste laundry detergent company called The Simply Co. after a ridiculously

successful Kickstarter Campaign.

Marta Freedman aka @h0tgirlseatingpizza. She has turned a simple Instagram account into a lifestyle and brand. She sells nail decals under the name Trixxie, hosts parties, has a fulltime job at Depop, and still has time to attend events. Such a girlboss.

Cyndi Ramirez — the EIC of this very online publication! Her personal brand is so strong and truly inspires me every day. It’s an honor to work with her and call her my friend.

Caroline Lahti — From the outside, Caroline has the best life running her business Florabrook. She does yoga just about every day, attends fancy events, and spends most of her time arranging flowers. But in reality, she is hustling hard, working 24/7 to make sure her clients are happy and have the best custom floral arrangements in NYC. Aside from being a badass entrepreneur, she is a really good friend and is guaranteed to brighten up my day.

What does “body positive” mean to you?

Body positive means loving your body right now. I’m all about living in the here and now. Don’t look back on the past (or old photos of yourself). Don’t daydream about what your body can be in the future. Embrace it right now. If you want to see changes, make it positive. Work out, eat clean, release endorphins. Or eat more and gain more weight (I do it all the time… it’s very fun). Just be happy with the way your body appears at this very moment in time.

How do you choose to celebrate your womanhood every day?

Working at a media company (I’m a Freelance Associate Producer at POPSUGAR) on an all-female team reminds me every day that being a woman is fucking awesome. I absolutely love my team. They are passionate, creative, organized, and just plain brilliant. I love working with all girls. We call ourselves the Video Vixens and make sure every guy on set knows who’s boss 🙂 Note: we love the guys we hire too! Our team of freelancers is amazingly talented and sweet.

True & Co’s mission is to empower women to be the best version of themselves through their products. When do you feel the most empowered and what do you do to help fuel your self-confidence? (i.e. self-care practices, wear specific clothes, etc.)

This might sound odd, but I feel my best and most confident when I am out in the world socializing. I am 100% extroverted (yes, I took a Meyers-Briggs Personality test), which means that I thrive in social settings. Once I am out in the very stimulating world that is New York City, I feel my best. I love working. I love creating content. I love accomplishing things. I love being around people and chatting. I feel my most confident after a long day of work when I typically fix my makeup in the office bathroom, grab an Uber, and hop around NYC to several events. I love running into friends at each spot while enjoying great food. Eating healthy during the day also helps. If I start eating filling/unhealthy stuff during the day, my mind isn’t in a good spot. I try to keep it clean during the day and then I go all out at night.

As a Boss Babe, you probably have a lot of cool things going on. Tell us about your current projects!

Oh my goodness. It’s really just never-ending. I just wrapped a 300-person Ugly Sweater Party with my BFF Courtney Wright and Tolga Brogan. That took up a lot (aka all of) my free time for November and December. When I’m not producing videos at POPSUGAR or organizing ridiculous holiday parties, I’m working with brands on my personal Instagram — @alexandramachover. Come 2017, I’ll be hosting/covering events on several online publications’ social channels so you can see even more of my face all over your Social Media (stay tuned for that 😉 ). I will obviously continue making ridiculous stories on my Instagram & Snapchat, and will continue documenting my life through photos.

Aside from that, I always have side-random projects going on. I’m starting to feature people on my Snapchat story. It’ll mostly be my Instagram friends. We’re going to be making popcorn in bathrobes. I’m weird. It’s fine. Lastly, I’m heading to Cabo with one of my best friends, Kayden Horwitz, in January. We’re going to be capturing a ton of content there and hopefully coming up with a shareable project.

What drives you to kick ass every day?

I have this insatiable thirst to create. It’s a part of my innate being. My passion drives me. Money and perks come from that, but never originally motivate me.

What advice would you give your younger self to help feel comfortable in her own skin?

Never compare your appearance to other people. Work with what you got. Work on yourself, both inside and out. If you don’t like your hair, change it. If you love your hair, keep it the same. Find your niche. Try a billion different things. Figure out what makes you happy. Move with confidence. You can do anything. The only person stopping yourself is you. Just make it happen. Lastly, listen to your dad. He was right about a lot of things and you’re pretty much the mini, girl version of him.
